OPEN IN SEPTEMBER!
THE ROTMAN PORTAL.
What is the JMDP?
The Junior Marketers Development Program (JMDP) is designed to develop emerging marketing talent within Rotman Commerce. Targeted towards first-year students, the JMDP will provide you tangible support on professional development, equip you with necessary skill sets in nearly any career in business, help you start building network and connections within Rotman, and connect you to other like-minded people in the RCMA!
The JMDP is structured in 3 key phases: Develop, Experience, and Lead. This program is an opportunity for you to develop your professional experience, business aptitude, marketing expertise, our student community, and your network at Rotman Commerce.
In this phase, you will develop key skills to succeed as a young professional, building your personal brand and professional presence. You will learn how to master the art of networking, connect with corporate professionals, and more!
With coaching, support, and mentorship, experience marketing first-hand across RCMA's portfolios: Events, Corporate Relations, Marketing, and Finance. You will first be a part of the behind-the-scenes of the Rotman Commerce Marketing Conference (RCMC). You will then experience the rotational program where you will shadow one portfolio director each semester and learn how each portfolio operates to add value to our student community.
You will craft a recommendation to solve a business challenge based on a case from one of the world's biggest brands. You will receive coaching and mentorship from RCMA leaders to help you succeed along the way. You will then cumulate your learnings throughout the year and share your experience through a final capstone presentation. To conclude the program, you will be invited to interview for a Portfolio Member role for the following year, depending on your interest.

"Energetic, insightful and fun. That's how I would summarize my first year with RCMA. Not only is the team super friendly and helpful, but the responsibilities given to us taught me essential skills like communication and networking. I had the amazing opportunity of working alongside corporate representatives and learn more about the marketing industry in Canada. We also planned and executed an event by ourselves, which taught me how to adopt a leadership role. RCMA helped me grow and make new friendships that I am so grateful for."
"My first year at Rotman would not of been complete without the RCMA family. They provided me with an incredible platform to learn about the marketing world, develop my business skills, and generate a wide network of friends and corporate representatives. With the support of RCMA's welcoming and friendly team, I felt supported and less intimidated by the big city. Some fun activities included designing marketing material, organizing and running events, and attending fundamental
